Connect Offline is a social awareness campaign addressing the negative effects of excessive phone use while encouraging real-world connection. The visual identity was applied across posters, apparel, stickers, and social media to create a cohesive campaign across physical and digital touchpoints.

01. THE CHALLENGE

Challenge

Young adults increasingly struggle with digital overuse, leading to burnout, anxiety, and disconnection from real-world relationships. Despite constant connectivity, meaningful interaction is declining.

Insights

• Young adults average 7+ hours of daily screen time
• Many report anxiety, burnout, and reduced face-to-face interaction
• Constant connectivity does not equate to emotional connection

02. CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT

Initial sketches explored different visual metaphors, which were refined through digital iterations into the final campaign concept.

07. REFLECTION

What I Learned

  • Iteration is essential for refining and identifying clear concepts

  • Effective branding relies on strong conceptual thinking, especially when developing symbols that communicate ideas quickly

  • Evaluating designs from the audience’s perspective is essential, since concepts that make sense to the designer may not immediately resonate with viewers
